The top 3 finishers on the day were Thomas "Maximus" Shaninian, myself, then Dan Eberhardt.
The weather (for a change) was hot, humid and relatively wind-free. Thomas and myself got great starts, but at opposite ends of the line-up. We came together about 1/4 mile in at which point I tried to stay with T-max, but realized after about one mile, that I could not match his pace and decided to slow down a tad. And thats how it stayed for the next 12 miles. Thomas beat me by about 5 minutes (again) and I was about 7 minutes ahead of 3rd place.
My custom built 19' "Project 343" worked great. Tom Swetish designed a fast & stable unlimited craft. It will be hard for us to build anything faster next year!
