343 Unlimited Hits the Water

Project 343 has been on the water now for about two or three weeks & she's fast.  And she should be at 25.5" wide and 19.5' long....

The brain child of Tom Swetish of Bellingham Boardworks.  He took one of his proven surf ski designs and modified it into a fast, stable unlimited SUP.  I was fortunate to be able to provide some grunt labor and put in some hours of sanding foam & glass and seeing Tom's creation take shape from beginning to end.

The board was designed specifically for Round the Rock, which this year will be on the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11th.  I started calling it "Project 343" out of respect for the 343 NY firefighters who died that day.  The name stuck and it means/represents a lot to Tom & I.

Myself & 343 will line up with some of the sports best racers on September 11th at Round the Rock.
I hope to make Tom's hard work pay off as well as represent my other sponsors Kialoa Paddles, Perfect Wave Surf ShopOnIt Pro.

See ya there!
