Oahu Trip 2012
Did some house & dog sitting with the family for 9 days in Kailua, Oahu. Experienced the 5th tornado there in 50 years... pretty exciting to wake up to 60mph winds and power outages.
Surf was small most the time 3-5 feet, with one chest-high day in Haleiwa. Had to surf Waikiki a few times to get away from the wind on the north and east shores... No complaints though, first time surfing without wetsuit & booties in almost 5 years. Sounds like this trip may become an annual event. Bummer.
